FAQ

What does FESS stand for?

FESS stands for "Fire Emergency Security Systems". Just a friendly acronym that covers all aspects of Fire and Security: CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Door Entry, Fire alarms, Emergency Lighting, AOV, Disabled Refuge, Fire Extinguishers.

What areas do you cover?

We currently cover London and the surrounding counties, up to Birmingham for service and maintenance. Installations will take us all over the country, we've worked in Taunton, Bristol, Norwich, Leeds and Auchterarder. We are currently building a network of reliable (and vetted) subcontractors to cover national contracts.

Do you repair or take over other systems?

Short answer, yes. Long answer, where it's possible. Certain systems will either run a what's known as a "closed protocol" meaning only certain people can work on the systems. Usually the installers or companies partnered with the manufacturers. We will be able to let you know jsut by looking at the keypad/control panel whether we can take over a system. Simply get in touch here to find out.

What if you can't take over a system?

If we can't take it over, we will either put you in touch with someone who can, or we will advise whether it will be more cost effective in the long run to replace a system for something that can be worked with. The intial cost for this would be higher, but you would likely save in the long run in terms of maintenance fees, but we will give you all the information on that and let you decide.

What makes you different to other companies?

As explained in our blog posts, after many years in the industry, there are multiple shortcomings when it comes to Security & Fire companies. We aim to be more forward thinking when it comes to data privacy, customer service, transparency, the well-being of colleagues and more.
